Duplicity on DVD

This wasn't as horrible as I'd thought it'd be. It's rental-worthy.

Sunshine Cleaning on DVD

Wikipedia: "Former high school cheerleading captain Rose Lorkowski (Adams) is a thirty-something single mother who cleans houses for a living. Wanting to send her trouble-making eight-year-old son Oscar (Jason Spevack) to a private school, Rose decides to take her married lover's advice and get into the "lucrative" business of crime scene cleanup. Rose convinces her disillusioned, underachieving sister Norah (Blunt) to join her in the enterprise, which she calls "Sunshine Cleaning." The sisters begin to find meaning in their function to "help" in some way in the aftermath of a loss, just as the job stirs up memories of their own mother's death. Their priorities and goals tested, Rose and Norah face hard challenges as they strive to improve their lives."

A poignant film that reminds you about the harsh realities of relationships ... especially those with our family! Rent it!

Adventureland on DVD

Jacket: "From the director of Superbad comes Adventureland, a smart, witty comedy we can all relate to. When James Brennan has to cancel his dream summer vacation and make some money for grad school, the only job he can get is at Adventureland, a tacky amusement park where the games are rigged and the rides make you hurl. This had a great '80s soundtrack, which may have been better than the story itself.

This film was kick-ass!

What price would you pay for freedom?

This is an interesting film that works like a play. Watch out for the interesting twist of events.

District 9

This was friggin brilliant!!! I have to see it again!

Wikipedia: "District 9 is a 2009 science fiction film directed by Neill Blomkamp, released August 13, 2009 internationally and August 14, 2009 in North America.^[2] It takes place in Johannesburg, South Africa. District 9 is based on Alive in Joburg, a short film directed by Neill Blomkamp, Sharlto Copley, Simon Hansen and Shanon Worley."

I Love You, Man on DVD

This was just okay.

Weeds: Season 4 on DVD

Jacket: "Everyone's favorite pot-selling mom, Nancy Botwin, is back in the complete fourth season of the hit series WEEDS. Last time we saw her, Nancy's business (and house) was going up in smoke. So the Botwin bunch has relocated near the border for a fresh start with some new buds. Life's looking green again in this subversive and buzz-worthy comedy."

This series is always good for a laugh.

The Reader on DVD

This film has a slow start, but then gets quite engaging.
