It began a few years ago as the email, From the Cine, that I started for my friends for fun, so they can check out what to see or read on the fly. Then one month, I hadn’t planned on writing it and a friend demanded it. So here is B Scene Magazine – a forum to report anything and everything of interest for your over-active mind and worn-out wallet.

True Blood: Episode 1
This new HBO series premiered September 7th and you can currently rent the first episode at Blockbuster for free (for a limited time). Thank goodness for that. Maybe I need to watch another episode to be convinced, this first one only does set up the situation, but I wasn't really engaged by it. Time will tell ... maybe.
Airs Sundays at 9 EST.
Jacket: "TRUE BLOOD chronicles the backwoods Louisiana town of Bon Temps ... where vampires have emerged from the coffin, and no longer need humans for their fix.
Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) works as a waitress at the rural bar Merlotte's. Though outwardly a typical young woman, she keeps a dangerous secret: she has the ability to hear the thoughts of others. Her situation is further complicated when the bar gets its first vampire - 173-year-old Bill Compton - and the two outsiders are immediately drawn to each other.
... TRUE BLOOD is a dark and sexy tale that boldly delves into the heart - and the neck - of the deep south."
